CURTAINS

'Curtains' is a collection of 77 hand-made pieces, bound together by their coherent aesthetics and consistent compositions. Their style may be evocative of generative art collections, where a number of parameters are mixed and matched to generate different outputs, and that is on purpose - 'Curtains' was made with gen art as its main inspiration, as a form to consolidate the familiar wave patterns, layered compositions, and color palettes present throughout my work. The collection is composed by seven different palettes (Night, Haze, Garden, Classic, Volcano, Mono, and Neue), three different orientations (Vertical, Horizontal, and Diagonal), and three coloring techniques (Shaded, Flat, and Gradients), mixed and matched to create the many outputs seen below. The variation is enough to make the collection interesting to delve into, without becoming repetitive.

This collection is currently live and available for minting on the Ethereum blockchain, and can be found here.

FACE VALUE

Humans carry a deep tendency to recognize faces, even where none exist. From the curve of a rock to stains on a wall, we instinctively arrange fragments into eyes, a mouth, a presence. This impulse is not arbitrary; it is the residue of evolution, a survival mechanism that favored those who could detect life in uncertain shapes. What once protected us from danger continues to guide how we see, pulling patterns out of the unfamiliar.
The works in this project engage with that ancient faculty and push at its limits. They move from clearly recognizable portraits to compositions where only a trace of a gaze remains, testing the threshold between recognition and dissolution. Perception does not simply mirror the world but actively constructs it, and this construction often borders on hallucination. Such “errors” of sight are also the foundation of imagination. The same faculty that allows us to see faces in clouds enabled the creation of myths, symbols, and systems of meaning. To recognize ourselves in the unexpected—whether in nature or in abstraction—has always been essential to human culture, and perhaps even to our becoming as a species.
